What are RSS feeds?

RSS feeds are a way to keep up to date with dynamic content that is provided by a web site. You need a special RSS reader that will keep track of the content changes that occur on a web site. An RSS reader keeps track of those articles and messages that you have already read so you do not need to explore a web site for new content yourself.

For instance, you might be used to check a web site with the latest news every morning. When you use your browser to view that website you have to find out yourself which news items you have already read. Moreover, if you check more than one site you have to browse to every site you are interested in. An RSS reader automates this task by checking which of your favorite sites have items that you have not read before and presents a nice overview of those new items.

There are several RSS readers available on the web. One that is easy to use is Mozilla Thunderbird. Thunderbird is a nice e-mail client that also supports RSS. With Thunderbird you can check both your e-mail and RSS feeds from within the same application using the same interface.

To use an RSS reader with the Charta web site please enter one or more of the links provided above in the RSS reader.
