Short cut keys

The Charta Software Environment is developed to use the keyboard as much as possible. The following short cut keys / key combinations can be used for this (the mouse actions are also mentioned, to make it a complete overview).

Application wide

Alt + F11	Import XML file to .data database
Ctrl + Alt + F11	Export content .data database to XML file
Alt + D	Switch to developer mode
Alt + U	Switch to user mode

Components (panels, tables, tabs, buttons) navigation

Windows (keep pressed)	Select component
Windows (keep pressed) + arrows	Navigate through components
Windows + Esc	Enlarge component selection
Windows + F4	Close component selection
Windows + P	Export selected component as .png file (is put int the working directory)

Tree component

Arrows	Navigate through the nodes
Enter	Selection is opend as tab
Left mouse click	Select a node
Double left mouse click	Selection is opend as tab

Table component

Arrows	Navigate through the cells
Home	Navigate to the first cell within the row
End	Navigate to the last cell within the row
Ctrl + Home	Navigate to the first cell within the column
Ctrl + End	Navigate to the last cell within the column
Arrows + Shift	Select cells during navigation
Ctrl + A	Select all cells
Ctrl + Up	Select column
Ctrl + Left	Select row
Spacebar	Sort based on selected column (from within column selection)
Ctrl + F	Start / close filter option (from within column selection)
Ctrl + G	Make group table of current table
Ctrl + P	Make pivot table of current table (only possible when the current table has three columns)
Insert	Add row(from within row selection)
Delete	Remove row (from within row selection) or empty cells (from within cell selection)
Alt + Insert	Add row (from within row selection) at the end of the table
Enter	Open seledted row (from within row selection) or cell (from within cell selection)
F2	Edit selected cell
Ctrl + Spacebar	When editing a cell, this gives the possible options for what can be entered in the cell (drop down selection); only when a composed type should be entered
Left mouse click	Select a table cell, a whole row or column
Left moouse double click	Open selected row (by clicking on a row) or cell (by clicking on a cell)
Left mouse click + Shift	Enlarge selection up to the cell/row/column
Left mouse click + Ctrl	Enlarge selection with the cell/row/column
Left mouse click on column header	Extend sorting for the column clicked on
Left mouse click on table origin (button at top left corner)	Undo all sorting

Page Up	Quick upward navigation
Page Down	Quick downward navigation
Ctrl + Page Up	Quick navigation to the left
Ctrl + Page Down	Quick navigation to the right
Enter	Toggle between layers
Ctrl + "hover" with mouse	Gives a hint about the component underneath where the mouse is
Left mouse click	Selects part of the figure
Right mouse click + drag	Drags map keeping the zoom
Ctrl + right mouse click + drag	Zoom rectangle is created. When releasing the mouse button the selected rectangle will be zooomed to.
